Joke of The Year - Economic Stimulus Payment

Lets figure........Gasoline prices double to $4.oo/gal.
2 car family/1 tank of gasoline/wk/car.
Average tank size=18gals x 2 =36gal.
$2.00 increase/gal this year.
36 x 2 = $72

You do the math........$72 x 52wks = $3,744/yr

Economic Stimulus Payment = $1,800

Seems to me that the ESP becomes the Oil Company Stimulus Payment.

Easy Chicken and Vegetable Soup

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Ready In: 2 hours
Serves: 5

This is a simple but delicious meal of the whole family. Make it ahead of time ahead of time and it will be keep in the refrigerator. Is actually better the next day. Very satisfying on a chilly day. I love to carry the leftovers to work for a nice lunch.

Ingredients:

1 pound of boneless chicken breast meat
1 (15oz) can of whole small new potatoes
1 (8oz) can mixed peas and carrots
1 (8oz) can whole kernel corn
1 (8oz) can cut green beans
1 (8oz) can green lima beans
1 medium size onion
2 cups of raw cabbage
1 (8oz) can tomato paste
1 tbsp of ground black pepper
3 chicken bullion cubes
3 tbsp Emeril Seasoning (optional)
salt to taste

1. Heat oven to 400f, cut chicken breasts into strips about 1/2 inch wide and coat with the Emeril Seasoning or seasoning you prefer. If you
prefer to cook chicken breast pieces whole it will just take longer to get done. I normally cut in these strips so that chicken will be ready to put
in the soup when I am through preparing the other ingredients. Another option is to boil the chicken meat to cook. I prefer the texture of the
baked chicken to boiled chicken. Bake the strips 30 minutes.

2. After the chicken has started cooking, add the peas and carrots, corn, green beans, and lima beans (drain all before adding) to a large pot
Add enough water cover vegetables and start heating to a boil. Add more water later if necessary to bring to your desired consitency.

3. Cut potatoes into approximately 1/2 inch cubes, add to the pot.

4. Chop onion and cabbage and add to pot.

5. Add tomato paste to and black pepper to pot.

6. Bring to a boil and add bullion cubes.

7. Turn heat to medium low and simmer.

8. When finished baking, cut chicken into bite size chunks and add to soup mix.

9. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours and add salt to taste.

If consistency is to thick, add some water or chicken broth and cook a little while longer.

Protect Your GPS System from Theft

Global Positioning Systems, or GPS as they are called, is one of the most popular selling auto accessories. The systems have also become popular among thieves looking to make some fast money.

The system prices range from expensive to very affordable by most people. The demand is so high, a thief can turn them into cash quickly. The GPS systems are almost impossible to trace if stolen.

The number of these thefts is increasing daily. It is reported that in some of the larger cities, the stolen systems can easily end up in the posession of taxi operators.

If you own one of these Global Positioning Systems try to follow the few basic rules listed below to help insure that it does not become the object of thieves.

  • Do not leave anything related to the GPS visable when your vehicle is not occupied. Most thefts have occurred when the system or the mount could be seen from outside the vehicle.
  • If you are using a windshied mount, clean the rings left by the suction from the glass. If a thief sees these rings, he is more likely to break into the car looking for a hidden device.
  • Carry the system with you when leaving the vehicle parked in a public area like a shopping center or motel parking lot. Try to stay away from dash mounted systems.
  • Write done the system serial number and keep in a safe place. The number can be checked if any are recovered by the police.

This is just a few tips that may save you from loss of time and money. They could possible keep your from having your window smashed and your vehicle broken into.

The Deadliest Catch

Deadliest Catch’s 4th season premier has been announced by the Discovery Channel to take place on Tuesday, April 15. The documentary style reality TV show is my favorite series of this channel’s programming.

The Deadliest Catch portrays the every day life during the crabbing season of the captain and crew members of the crab fishing vessels on the Bering Sea. It shows both the dangers and normal work routines of this sometimes deadly occupation.

The port of Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska is the base of operations for all of the fleets featured on the show. The show gets it name because crab fishing on the Bering Sea is one of the most dangerous occupations in the world.

The series normally follows several boats during the 2 major crab fishing seasons, the Red or King Crab in October and the Orange or Opilio Crab in January.

Each of the shows has a story line or situation that occurs on one or more of the boats. There is focus on some of the new crew members or greenhorns. The captains and their searches for the crab are always featured with a competition taking place between each boat and crew.

The true dangers of the profession are always present and are presented in a real-life setting. Their number one fear of all the crews is the non forgiving weather that is ever present.

Three of the boats and crews featured on the Deadliest Catch are the Northwestern, the Time Bandit, and the Cornelia Marie.

Catch the first episode of the 2008 season on April 15 and get hooked.

Sheep in Wolf's Clothing

Does anyone with any hint of common sense have a "warm and fuzzy feeling" about either of the Democratic canidates?

Neither has the record or credentials of a certified "in the best interest of the United States" candidate.

Who is Barack Obama?

Who is Hillary Clinton?

Do we really know until the election is over, they are in the White House and it has become to late to do any positive thinking?

You use common sense and take it from here......

Obama - Richardson?

Do any of you ever really wonder what is going on behind the scenes in the Democratic primaries?

Once a candidate gets a lead in the polls, something miraculously takes place to alter the directions of publicity and influence.

Race or ethnics is not an issue in the race according to one candidate until his loyalty to America is questioned due to the preachings of his pastor who is portrayed to the likeness of a family member.

Then comes the endorsement by Richardson.

If one of these Democratic candidates becomes President, will you be concerned what debts have to have to be repaid at the expense of the American Citizens?

Don't get me wrong. I am not trying to be selective in my condemantion of either candidate. It seems that both have some means of getting the scales to a closer balance.

Just something to think about.

A Great Product for Bad Knees:

I've got a testimonial for an unbelievable product that has relieved most of my knee pain and has improved my joint flexibility considerably.

When I began treatment with this natural product I was very skeptical that it would show positive results.

There had been one surgery and several cortisone shots with less than desirable results.

Its seems that, once you get to certain age, the medical profession likes to attribute your problems to age, wear, and tear with little to no solutions.

I came across an article about this product "Devil's Claw" in my favorite daily newsletter, Early To Rise. This was a year ago and the positive results from its use have been very positive and real. The knees have great flexibility with little to no noise.

There are many suppliers of this product with a wide range of prices. The one the has given me the positive results has been from Vitamin World which, by the way, is probably one of the least expensive. I receive nothing from this testimonial from either ETR or Vitamin World.

It was 3 to 4 weeks after starting this program that I saw the positive results. I take 2 tablets in the morning an 2 in the evening.

Try it, I think that you will be suprised at the results. Try this herbal product and inform me of your opinion, whether it be positive or negative.

Sincerely,

Name Change, New Direction

I have come to a huge milestone in my life and felt a need to change the direction of this blog. My posting, as of late, has been less than desirable with little to no inspiration.

My work experience has been in the same field for the last 42 years. New company leaders have come in to revive a dieing industry, thanks to our Gov. (NAFTA), in the US. Good Luck!!!

In the future, I will post both personal items and income related opportunities.

Love all of You that visit us, give us a comment
